Lei Xianzhang is an academician of the German National Academy of Science and Engineering, a distinguished expert of the State Grid Corporation of China, and a part-time professor at Zhejiang University, and China Electric Power Research Institute.
He is mainly engaged in the research in the fields of energy, power and equipment, new energies, and new materials. He has made several groundbreaking research achievements, and has accumulated rich academic and technological resources in the fields of energy, power and new materials. He has undertaken several national key programs including the National 863 Program of China and key programs in Europe including the Horizon Program by EU. He has published more than 140 international papers, and has obtained more than 30 authorized national invention patents and more than 60 accepted national invention patents.

Wang Hao, born in Beijing in 1953, is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of State Key Laboratory of Simulation and Regulation of Water Cycle in River Basins of China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, and concurrently serves as Vice Chairman of Global Water Partnership (China), Vice Chairman of Innovation Method Society, Vice Chairman of China Society of Natural Resources, Director of the Water Resources Professional Committee of Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society, and other positions.
He has long been engaged in the applied basic research in water cycle in river basins and its ecological environmental effect, water resources planning and management, etc. He has proposed the "natural - artificial" dualistic water cycle theory, and established the technological system for comprehensive simulation and multi-dimensional regulation of water cycle and associated water ecology, water chemistry and water-sediment process. He has published more than 450 academic papers and 36 monographs, and applied for more than 90 patents. He has won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the second prize of the State Science and Technology Award.

Zou Caineng, born in 1963 in Chongqing, is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, chief expert on new energy of China National Petroleum Corporation, executive director and president of PetroChina Shenzhen New Energy Research Institute, and vice president of Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development.
He is mainly engaged in the research of conventional and unconventional oil and gas theory and exploration, energy strategy, and carbon neutrality, and has put forward strategic concepts, understandings and suggestions on the "Hydrogen Energy China", "Energy Independence" of China, and "Carbon Neutrality" theories. He has published more than 10 monographs and more than 260 academic papers, of which 5 papers have been recognized as "100 Most Influential Domestic Academic Papers in China". Besides, he has won the first and second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award as well as other science and technology awards.

Xu Weilin, born in Jilin City, Jilin Province in 1963, is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a researcher of Sichuan University, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Hydraulics and Mountain River Engineering, a standing executive member of China Society for Hydropower Engineering, and a standing executive member of Chinese National Committee on Large Dams. Up to now, he has won 1 second prize of the National Technological Invention Award (ranking the first), 2 second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award (ranking the first and the second respectively), 8 first prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards (ranking the first for four of the prizes), and the Science and Technology Progress Award from the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation. He has obtained 92 authorized invention patents, and published 101 SCI papers and 4 monographs. His achievements have been applied in more than 80 projects, including 11 high dam projects with a height of more than 200m in China.

Rao Hong, born in Wuhan, Hubei Province in 1961, is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a fellow of China Society for Electrical Engineering, professorship senior engineer, a national outstanding scientific and technological worker, an expert enjoying special allowance of the State Council, Chief Scientist of CSG, Director of the State Key Laboratory of HVDC Transmission Technology, and Chief Editor of Southern Power System Technology.
He has made breakthrough in the complete set of independent design technology for DC transmission and the technology for VSC-UHVDC transmission in China, and has proposed the risk analysis and control method for multi-infeed DC power grid. He has led the design and completion of the ±500kV projects relying on independent technologies of China, the world's first Multi-terminal VSC-UHVDC Transmission Project, and other major 11-circuit DC transmission projects. He has obtained 25 authorized invention patents. He has won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the second prize of the State Science and Technology Award.

Chen Yongcan, born in Nanchong, Sichuan Province in 1963, is a Special Term Professor of the Changjiang Scholars Program and enjoys special government allowances from the State Council.
His main academic direction is hydraulics and river dynamics. He has long been engaged in conducting theoretical research and technical R&D around such directions as water environment effect and flood discharge safety of water conservancy and hydropower projects, hydrodynamic water environment characteristics and simulation methods, and intelligent detection and safety evaluation of hydraulic structures. He has led the completion of a series of national key fund programs, national key R&D programs and other major programs, and his research achievements have been widely applied in more than 40 complex water areas and major engineering practices. He has successively won more than 10 prizes for scientific research, including first prize of the Award for Science and Technology Progress by the Ministry of Education in 2010, second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2019, and first prize of the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award in 2020.

Zhao Jinzhou, born in Xiantao, Hubei Province in 1962, is a professor of Southwest Petroleum University, Executive Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Oil and Gas Reservoir Geology and Exploitation, Director of Southwest Petroleum University Branch of State Key Laboratory of Natural Gas Hydrate, and Director of the Engineering Research Center of Natural Gas Development of the Ministry of Education. He concurrently serves as a member of the Science and Technology Commission of the Ministry of Education, a member of the Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, Deputy Director of the Natural Gas Professional Committee of the China Petroleum Society, and Deputy Director of the Academic Committee of the State Energy Center for Shale Gas Research and Development. He is a leader in the field of acid fracturing in China. He has made great contributions to the establishment and development of the acid fracturing theory and its technology system in China. He has successively won more than 10 prizes, including second prize of the National Technological Invention Award, special prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. In 2021, he was included in the list of candidates for the second round of academician evaluation of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Kang Chongqing, born in Yongshou, Shaanxi Province in 1969, is the head of Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University, Dean of Energy Internet Innovation Research Institute of Tsinghua University, Dean of Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute of Tsinghua University, IEEE Fellow and IET Fellow. He has obtained the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars,and he was included into the second batch of Leading Experts in Sci-tech Innovation of National "Ten Thousand Talents Program".
He won preferred funding from the Henry Fok Foundation, and was listed in the New Century Talent Program of the Ministry of Education. He is Deputy Secretary General of China Society for Electrical Engineering, Chairman of the Education and Youth Committee, Vice Chairman of the Council for International Cooperation, Vice Chairman of Beijing Society for Electrical Engineering, etc. He has led more than 10 programs under the National Natural Science Foundation of China, published more than 400 papers, and won the Outstanding Contribution Prize of China Electric Power Science and Technology Award in 2018.

He is a Member of the Party Committee and Chief Geologist of SWOG. He has won 2 second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and 1 special prize, 3 first prizes, 1 second prize and 4 third prizes of the provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards. He keeps focusing on the research in the concentration law of large- and medium-scale gas fields in Sichuan Basin. He has developed a series of important innovation theories and geological understanding in the exploration field, and has made outstanding contribution to the oil and gas exploration and discovery in Sichuan Basin and the completion of building the southwest oil and gas field into a 30 billion m3 strategic major gas area in all respects. He won the special government allowance by the State Council of the People's Republic of China, and won the honorary titles such as "Top Ten Outstanding Youths" and "Outstanding Scientific and Technical Worker" of China National Petroleum Corporation.
