Shi Bi, born in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in 1958, is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Clean Technology of Leather Manufacture, Sichuan University, and director of the Teaching Steering Committee of Light Industry Specialty in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education. He has won the title of National Advanced Worker, the National May Day Labor Medal, and the Merit Award—the highest honor in the international leather science and technology circle (unique in China).
He is mainly engaged in the research in the cleaning technologies for light industry and the resource utilization technologies for wastes. He has led more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial sci-tech programs/topics such as those under the National 863 Program, the National Science and Technology Support Program, the National Key Special Program, and the key programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has made many research achievements in such directions as alternative technology for biologic materials in the leather-manufacture chemical process, energy conservation and emission reduction technologies based on process reengineering, and resource utilization of animal biomass. These research achievements have been widely promoted and applied in the industry. He has won 2 second prizes of the National Technological Invention Award, 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and the "Outstanding Contribution Award" of the International Society of Leather Chemists and Engineers.

Jiang Jianchun, born in Liyang, Jiangsu Province in February 1955, is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the National Engineering and Technology Research Center for Forest Chemical Industry.
He is mainly engaged in the research of biomass thermochemical conversion technology. He has won 4 National Science and Technology Progress Awards and 10 provincial and ministerial awards, owns 69 licensed invention patents, and published more than 300 papers.

She is a professor/doctoral supervisor of Sichuan University, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the chief editor of “SusMat” (Sustainable Materials).
She is mainly engaged in the research in the green low-carbon processing of high polymer materials and the environmentally friendly high polymer materials. She has led more than 40 programs/topics, including the National "863" and "973" Programs, key programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, national and international science and technology cooperation programs, and provincial and ministerial scientific research programs/topics. She has won 2 second prizes of the National Technological Invention Award, 1 Gold Medal Award of the Chinese National Invention Patent, 1 special prize and 3 first prizes of provincial and ministerial awards of invention patent. She has won the Science and Technology Progress Award from the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, and honorary titles such as "Outstanding Figures in the Plastic Industry of China".

Wang is a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering of East China University of Science and Technology, a winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and the leader of the innovation team in the key field of “pollutant emission reduction and resource utilization” of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Academician Wang has proposed and successfully developed a technology for close-loop circulation treatment of coke cooling water in petroleum coking, and been responsible for promoting its application to 41 large-scale petroleum coking units at home and abroad, solving the problems of air pollution and full-cycle utilization of coke cooling wastewater in the petroleum coking industry. He has invented methods and integrated processes for liquid cyclone desalination, dealkalization, and removal of fine particles, as well as efficient cyclone core tubes. Academician Wang has applied for 1 international patent, 1 US patent, 1 Indian patent, and more than 50 Chinese patents, and obtained 16 invention patent authorizations. Besides, Academician Wang has published over 60 papers in Chemical Engineering&Technology, and CIESC Journal, and has won the first and second prizes of the National Scientific and Technological Progress Awards multiple times.

He is the Vice President, researcher and doctoral supervisor of CRAES. He also serves as the President of the Groundwater Pollution Prevention, Control and Remediation Industry Alliance, Chairman of the Ecological Environment Special Committee of China National Association of Engineering Consultants. He is the winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the scientific and technological leading talent of the National "Ten Thousand Talents Program", and the national outstanding professional and technical talent.
He has presided over more than 20 national scientific research projects such as national major science and technology projects, National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and key projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and published more than 300 SCI papers. He has won 2 National Technological Invention Awards, 1 National Science and Technology Progress Award and 5 first prizes of provincial and ministerial awards.

He is a distinguished expert under national overseas high-level talent, a professor of the College of Environmental Science and Engineering of Tongji University, and the Director of the National Engineering Research Center for Urban Pollution Control. He serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Civil and Environmental Science of the 7th Science and Technology Commission of the Ministry of Education, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Department of Engineering Materials Science of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the convener of the key special expert group of "Solid Waste Recycling" under the "13th Five-Year Plan" National Key Research and Development Program, and a senior member of the International Water Association (IWA).
He has long been committed to the research on sludge and organic solid waste treatment and recycling technology, and presided over more than 10 national key research projects. He has published more than 400 academic papers, and has been granted more than 100 authorized invention patents and more than 10 international patents. He has led the compilation of 8 standards and published 6 works. He has won the 14th Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award, 2 first prizes of Shanghai Technological Invention Award, 1 first prize of Science and Technology Award of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, 3 gold awards of the International Exhibition of Inventions, and silver awards of IWA Project Innovation Award (PIA).

She is a professor/doctoral supervisor of Sichuan University, a Distinguished Professor of “Chang Jiang Scholars Program” of the Ministry of Education, Secretary General of the Academic Committee of Tianfu Yongxing Laboratory, Executive Vice President of the School of Carbon Neutrality Future Technology of Sichuan University,
Executive Deputy Director of the Carbon Neutral Technology Innovation Center of Sichuan, and Executive Deputy Director of the National Engineering Research Center for Flue Gas Desulfurization.
She is mainly engaged in the research in zero-carbon biomass fuel and charcoal negative emission technologies. She has led more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial programs, including the national key R&D program "Complete Set of Technologies and Equipment for Preparing Bio-gasoline and Bio-diesel from Waste Straws" and key programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. She has helped complete the construction of the world's first ton-level pilot demonstration device for preparing gasoline and diesel from straws. She has published more than 100 SCI papers, obtained more than 40 authorized/open invention patents, prepared 5 industrial standards, and won 1 first prize of the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. As the work expert group leader, she prepared the Carbon Neutral and Technological Innovation Action Plan for Colleges and Universities under the organization of the Ministry of Education, and prepared the world's first systematic textbook of Introduction to Carbon Neutral Technologies as the chief editor.

He has been engaged in the R&D and design of power plant boilers for a long time, and participated in many national major technical equipment development projects and national science and technology support projects. He led and completed the boiler design of dozens of key thermal power projects at home and abroad, all of which are leading at home and advanced abroad. He has won the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of Sichuan Science and Technology Award, the special prize of Zigong Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award, and the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Dongfang Electric Corporation. In 2009, he was rated as an outstanding expert with outstanding contributions by Dongfang Electric Corporation. He has been an expert granted special government allowance by the State Council since 2013.

He is mainly engaged in the comprehensive utilization of high titanium-containing blast furnace slag, production of titanium metal by molten salt electrolysis, and other research work. He is responsible for the "973 Program" - "Research on Scientific Issues Related to Comprehensive Utilization of Resources such as Gold, Vanadium and Titanium" and the sub-project of the National Science and Technology Support Program - "Research on Carbonization Process of High Titanium-containing Blast Furnace Slag". "Basic Research on Extraction of Titanium Metal by Molten Salt Electrolysis" and related patented technologies have established a model for dissolution of oxygen-carbon titanium and determined a molten salt system suitable for oxygen-carbon titanium electrolysis. "Research on Carbonization Process of High Titanium-containing Blast Furnace Slag" and related patented technologies have preliminarily opened up the main process of continuous production of carbonized slag by high-temperature carbonization of hot blast furnace slag, and formed a software package of high-temperature carbonization industrialization process technology for high titanium-containing blast furnace slag, with reductant addition system, power supply and distribution system, foam slag control technology, furnace bottom rising control technology and carbonization endpoint identification technology as the core.
