Zhang YuanhangDirector of Tianfu Yongxing Laboratory
Zhang Yuanhang, born in 1957, from Chongqing, is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He is also a professor from the College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Peking University, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Engineering, and concurrently a member of the National Environmental Advisory Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Eco-environment Industry-University Consortium of China Association for Science and Technology. He once served as Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering of Peking University, Vice President of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, Deputy Director of the Steering Committee of Environmental Science and Engineering Teaching in Institutions of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, etc.
Focusing on fields of the strategy of pollution and carbon reduction synergy and atmospheric environmental chemistry, he mainly studies the formation mechanism of urban and regional atmospheric compound pollution, environmental impact, and control countermeasures. He has led and completed more than 20 national 973/863/support program projects, projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and key projects of provinces, ministries, and commissions. Besides, he has published more than 200 SCI papers, and won many national, provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards. His research results have provided scientific and technological support for the prevention and control of air pollution in China and the continuous improvement of air quality in the Pearl River Delta.
