Good News! Tianfu Yongxing Laboratory Secures Two Projects Funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China

On August 27, the National Natural Science Foundation of China announced the evaluation results of projects received during the 2025 centralized application period. Tianfu Yongxing Laboratory (hereinafter referred to as "the Laboratory") successfully secured two Youth Science Fund Projects (Type C), marking its significant progress in cultivating young scientific and technological talents. 

Since its establishment and operation, the Laboratory has consistently prioritized scientific research endeavors. It has continuously promoted the organization and application for projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, actively hosted experience exchange sessions, and invited experts on multiple occasions to provide guidance on project applications, effectively enhancing the quality of project submissions. Going forward, the Laboratory will continue to intensify efforts to elevate its scientific research innovation capabilities and service quality, guiding and supporting young scientific and technological talents to play an active role in the Laboratory's development, thereby contributing to the achievement of the "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" goals.

Profile of Project Leaders: 

You Yuqing, Assistant Researcher, obtained a Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2023 and joined the Research Center for Carbon Sink and Geological Carbon Sequestration of the Laboratory in the same year. Her primary research focuses on the environmental impacts of geothermal development processes. She has participated in five national projects, presided over one provincial and one municipal project, published eleven papers in reputable international and domestic journals, and received the 2024 Telford Premium from the Institution of Civil Engineers (UK). Besides, she holds two authorized invention patents. 

Lyu Quanwei, Assistant Researcher, earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from Chongqing University in 2023 and joined the Research Center for Resource Carbon Neutrality of the Laboratory in 2024. His main research direction is the treatment, disposal, and reutilization of organic solid waste. He has participated in one national project and two provincial and ministerial projects, and published over twenty papers in reputable international and domestic journals. Besides, he holds seventeen authorized invention patents.
