From June 21 to 23, Director Liang visited Ghent University, where he held technical discussions with Professors Yi Ouyang, Joris Thybaut, and Keven Van Geem, and toured their laboratories. During his visits to the university's chemical process laboratories and related research facilities, Director Liang systematically examined the university's research landscape and innovative approaches in relevant fields. He provided a detailed overview of the Laboratory's research achievements and industrial applications in CO  capture and chemical looping hydrogen production, leading to broad consensus on establishing international cooperation between the two sides.

From June 24 to 27, Director Liang attended ICCDU 2025 and delivered a presentation titled "Collaborative Sequestration of CO  and Industrial Solid Waste through CO  Mineralization Reaction with Solid Waste". In his report, he elaborated on the Laboratory's technology for producing building materials through CO  mineralization reaction with solid waste. He emphasized that the Laboratory is collaborating with Sichuan University and other institutions to advance an industrial demonstration project with the capacity to process over 10,000 tons of CO  annually and to produce more than 150,000 tons of building materials. This technology marks a crucial step in transitioning from technological development to industrial-scale production, contributing to global carbon reduction efforts.

Director Liang's academic visits not only advanced international cooperation on key technologies at the Laboratory and enhanced its global influence and academic reputation, but also marked an important step in integrating into the global innovation network for carbon neutrality.
