On August 14, Professor Liang and his delegation visited the Faculty of Engineering and Design, University of Auckland and toured the Biomass Processing Laboratory and the Energy Materials Laboratory. They engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as collaborative scientific innovation and international cooperation, laying the groundwork for advancing concrete partnerships.

During the GCCES-2025, Professor Liang was invited to deliver a keynote presentation titled Hydrogen Energy Utilization and Hydrogen Production Technologies, where he provided a detailed overview of his team's research and application advancements in biomass alkali-assisted chemical hydrogen production, fixed-bed chemical looping hydrogen production, low-voltage methane electrochemical hydrogen production, and CO hydrogenation-based methanation for upgrading biogas. Subsequently, Professor Liang and his delegation participated in various academic activities, engaging in exchanges with academics from multiple countries.

The visits yielded two key outcomes: first, they showcased the Laboratory's latest scientific research advancements in the fields of chemical engineering, energy, and materials, enhancing its visibility within the international academic community; second, they established preliminary cooperation intentions with institutions such as the University of Auckland and the University of New South Wales in areas including energy materials and high-value utilization of residual oil, providing a strong foundation for future joint international research projects.

These academic visits effectively strengthened the Laboratory's academic ties with international peers, providing a solid foundation for its integration into the global innovation network for energy materials and chemical engineering, as well as the establishment of a high-level international scientific research cooperation system.
