Recently, the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Sichuan Province issued the “Notice on Approving the Establishment of 2023 Innovation and Practice Base for Postdoctors”, and Tianfu Yongxing Laboratory (hereinafter referred to as “the Laboratory”) was approved to establish an innovation and practice base for postdoctors.
The innovation and practice base for postdoctors is a provincial-level postdoctoral work platform approved by the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Sichuan Province. Its primary objective is to promote the seamless integration of government, industry, academia, research, and application, enhance the independent innovation ability of enterprises, facilitate the conversion of scientific and technological achievements, and cultivate high-level young innovative talents.
After the establishment of the innovation and practice base for postdoctors, the Laboratory will continue to give full play to the advantages of teaching resources from co-built universities and industrial resources from cooperative enterprises, and carry out the joint recruitment and training for postdoctors. The Laboratory will also innovate the talent cultivation model, and adopt a combination of ‘academician guidance+mentor cooperation’ and ‘full-time mentor+double mentor’ to form a mentor team for postdoctoral training, exploring the implementation of medium- and long-term incentive plans and welfare guarantee plans for postdoctoral researchers, as well as stimulating innovation vitality.
Since its establishment, the Laboratory has attached great importance to the introduction and cultivation of talents while adhering to internationalization standards. By adopting diversified talent employment methods, such as full-time, dual, and part-time employment arrangements, the Laboratory attracts and gathers high-level talents from all over the world, creating a highland for talent aggregation in the field of carbon neutrality technology. As of now, the Laboratory has introduced 66 full-time talents, including 1 national leading talent, 1 provincial-level high-level talent, 30 doctors. Remarkably, 98% of the talents possess master’s degrees or higher qualifications. The Laboratory has also flexibly introduced 127 expert talents, among whom are 17 national leading talents and 21 high-level talents at provincial and ministerial levels, initially establishing a talent team characterized by high educational attainment, exceptional backgrounds, a high level, and abundant resources.
Moving forward, the Laboratory will intensify its efforts in base construction, actively explore the talent cultivation mechanism, and strictly control the talent cultivation quality. It will leverage the talent pool effectively, and continuously cultivate and export scientific research backbone forces and future leading talents in the field of carbon neutrality. Through these endeavors, the Laboratory aims to contribute to achieving the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals while bolstering local economic development.
